Why it matters
Papamochani means "sin-destroying." This Ekadashi specifically destroys accumulated sins from past lifetimes. It is especially powerful for those who feel burdened by guilt, negative karma, or the consequences of past mistakes. Falling in Chaitra — the first month of the Hindu calendar — it serves as spiritual cleansing before the New Year.
